The Yankee Duo consists of a pair of regattas, the Chowder Cup on Saturday, and Just Desserts on Sunday. The two are separate regattas except for an entry fee discount when entering both. Either or both regattas may be entered. The two are together referred to as the Yankee Duo Regatta in the NOR and SI.
This regatta is hosted and organized by Orleans Yacht Club and Sherborn Yacht Club.
This regatta will be governed by the 2017-2020 Racing Rules of Sailing, the 2017-2020 prescriptions of U.S. Sailing, the rules of the International Sunfish Class Association, and by the Sailing Instructions.
All sunfish class boats are eligible to participate. Boats are expected to conform to the sunfish class specifications. Skippers are on their honor regarding conformance. Skippers are encouraged to join the International Sunfish Class Association but not required to do so.
Competitors may enter by filling out and returning the completed entry form and paying applicable fees. Entry fees will cover light breakfast, lunch, and non-alcoholic refreshments for the skipper, as well as racing awards. The entry fee is $35 per boat for either Saturday or Sunday and $50 to sail both days. All entry forms and payment hand delivered or post marked on or before CUTOFF will be considered early and eligible for a $5 discount for each day. Addtional meals for guests are $5 each.

In the event of cancellation any registered participants will be notified by email and reimbursed in full. If one of the two days is cancelled, any participants registered for both days will be reimbursed the difference between a one day and two day registration.
Two races are scheduled for the morning and two for the afternoon. The Race Committee may elect to have more or less races than planned. The Low-Point System, Appendix A, of the USSA Racing Rules will apply, except as noted in sailing instructions. Complete information on number and schedule of races and scoring are contained in the sailing instructions.
Sailing instructions are available on the Yankee Duo web site and will be made available in printed form at the skipper's meeting. The courses are illustrated and described in Appendix A: The Courses. Any change to sailing instructions will be reviewed at the skipper's meeting.

Prizes will be awarded to the top five finishers in each of the one day regattas.
A limited number of OYC members may be willing to host skippers and family coming from off Cape Cod. Please contact Curtis or Barry (see below) for housing referals.
Boats and trailers for non-OYC club members should arrive no earlier than Friday evening at 9PM. Those staying at host homes can park a boat trailer there. Those staying at hotels with inadequate parking space for boat trailers can park their boat and trailers in a few OYC member driveways or yards. Please contact Curtis or Barry (see below) if you need trailer parking space on Friday or Saturday. Parking boat and trailer overnight on Friday or Saturday night in the OYC parking lot is permited at the boat owner's risk.
